BLAIN FAIRMAN
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Blain started his career in radio and television. He was a DJ on Canadian National Radio at the age of 16! He came to the UK in 1969 to star in a film called "The Trap" acting alongside the legendary Oliver Reed. Blain spent another twenty years in film and television, starring in amongst others, "Alien", "Dads Army", "Some Mother's Do 'Ave 'Me", and "To The Manor Born". Blain was also a prolific writer for the BBC with over 100 radio and television credits to his name. He also wrote extensively for the fledgling corporate conference industry. Blain joined "Conference Live" in 1989, as the company's managing director. Since then Blain has written, produced and directed some of the biggest shows the corporate event industry has seen. Despite the company now employing 18 full time staff, Blain still takes a very much hands - on approach to the business.

DEBBIE BLACKETT
DIRECTOR
After leaving the Guilford School of Acting, Debbie embarked on a successful career largely in the West End musical world. As an actor who sang she found herself working in industrial theatre where she first got the idea for Live Business. Debbie began Live Business with her then partner Tony McHale, writer and producer of many major television series. These include programs such as Eastenders, Casualty and Holby City to name but a few. This opened many doors quickly and within the first two years of trading, Live Business had blue chip companies such as British Airways, and McDonalds. Debbie made the change from "walking the boards" to directing and is now responsible for creating, producing and directing all of Live Business's shows. As the co-owner and longest member of the team at Live she still maintains she is the only one who can make a decent cup of tea!

MARK DIXON
GENERAL MANAGER
Mark's working life began in retail banking before he was lured away by the smell of greasepaint and began a career in entertainment in the mid 90's. He has performed in front of the Duke of York, the Duchess of Kent and the Dog and Duck to name just three pubs. He joined Live Business in 1997 with his mix of business and entertainment knowledge and helped to develop the cruising side of the business. The Live Business team have built a reputation of achieving record breaking results and revenue through innovating ideas and entertainment and Mark is very proud of what the talented onboard entertainers and office based team have achieved thus far.

BRIAN BATES
ACCOUNTANT
Brian is a chartered accountant of some 20 years experience. He was formerly a partner in a city practice, specialising in the development of small to medium enterprises within the media industry. He now fulfils a non-executive finance role at Live Business Grosvenor Productions providing the essential strategic and operational guidance needed by the director of such a versatile and fast growing business.

DIANE BATES
ACCOUNTANT
AAT qualified, Diane has worked in the accountancy field for 19 years (or so) in different industries. She joined our team 10 years ago and looks after all the financial stuff.

GINA ESDALE
BOOK KEEPER
Gina joined 4 years ago after many years working in the financial sector, and now helps out Diane in the financial department.

RACHEL NEARY
ENTERTAINMENT CO-ORDINATOR
Rachel started work as an entertainer in 1995 working around the UK and various Mediterranean resorts. After a few years working as an Entertainments Manager, Rachel joined live Business in 2003 to begin her career at sea, starting off as Assistant Cruise Director and then Cruise Director. Rachel is now based at Live Business' head office in London.

PETER CHITTENDEN
EXECUTIVE BOOKER
Peter joined the live booking dept in 2001, booking entertainment for various hotels across Europe. Peter spends most of the year sourcing comedians and musicians from all over the world for our cruise and corporate clients.

KATIE JOHNSON
PRODUCTION
After completing a degree in Drama and Theatre studies Katie moved into the leisure entertainment industry. During her 4 years at Live Business she has discovered a love for conference and events and now turns her hand to our editing, design and Conference and Events production.

MARIE WILLOCK
ENTERTAINMENT-COORDINATOR
Marie joined the LBGP team in 2006 after relocating from the North of England. Utilising her admin and PA skills in our busy booking department, it will more often than not be Marie you speak to when you call us.

ROBERT CRABTREE
ENTERTAINMENT-COORDINATOR
Having completed his studies in Music and Music Technology, Robert came to work for Live Business. He has been with the company since 2007 and assists in the booking department.
